Where and why to use EEPOS?

EEPOS is a richly-featured software product for creating and searching email archives. The target market for the product consists of small and medium-sized businesses and institutions who have a general email intrastructure in house. Preferred domains of application include: government, law, finance, real estate.

EEPOS and existing e-mail infrastructure

The product is to be installed between the email server and the firewall, preferrably on a dedicated server, and all email traffic is routed through it. Minimal configurational changes are needed to the existing infrastructure. The software is completely independent of any existing email server technology (MS Exchange, Lotus Domino, Unix, Linux etc), it can be seamlessly integrated with any type of existing email server. EEPOS doesn't restrict the end-users' e-mail reader software. The users can continue using their favourite e-mail reader (MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird etc) without any changes at all.

The software fills the following gaps in a typical email intrastructure (e.g. MS Outlook bundled with an email server like MS Exchange Server):

• All messages that are sent or received by all users are automatically archived
• Users cannot accidentally delete business-critical information, all messages are recoverable from the archive
• The archive is equipped with a powerful search engine to easily locate messages, to protect sensitive informatsion a strict security system is in place.
